Hi! I'm Shawn, and I was born and raised here in Hawai'i. I started photography 9 years ago and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've made. A friend of mine recently asked me why I love photography so much and the answer is simple. It allows me to show the world how I perceive reality. It's my job to know the most spectacular places on the islands, notice those special moment, and capture each individual’s most beautiful qualities.

Q: What is your favorite thing to photograph?

A: I love shooting couples, simply because of the raw and intimate moments that two people can share with each other. Sure, people tend to be a little tense when the camera is pointed at them (myself included), but once they let down their guard, the compassion they share for one another just radiates. 

​

I love shooting people with those they hold close. Nothing else compares.

I believe that life should be remembered as beautifully as it felt when it happened.
